Bobber Fishing

The simple bobber is a beginners best friend bobber will help you cast and detect strikes. The combination of a bobber weight and hook can catch every species that swims.

Let us start with the basics. Bobbers come in all shapes and sizes. They can be made of wood, plastic, or Styrofoam. They have a way to connect them to your line and most importantly, they float. They are attached by either pushing or pulling a button or spring. Some bobbers have a weight built into the bottom of the bobber, for increased casting distance.

The bobber is the worst enemy of the panfish. The simple rig can take a bunch of fish quickly.
